SSI Files Patent on PTFE Coated EPDM Diffuser Membranes

We are pleased to announce that SSI has filed the second of two patents relating to the invention of PTFE coated EPDM fine bubble diffuser membranes.

SSI's PTFE coated diffusers have solved the problem once and for all of biological and chemical fouling on diffuser surfaces, while maintaining the reliability and advantages of EPDM membranes which include an excellent resistance to tearing, high oxygen transfer efficiency and good check-valve function.

The company has replaced significant numbers of competitive EPDM membranes and ceramic elements with its innovative products over the past year with tremendous success.

In addition, a number of large N. American municipalities have elected to pilot test the new products for large scale installations in the coming year.
